Pikes Peak Writers' Conference 2019!
So I spent the weekend at one of my favorite events of the year. The Pikes Peak Writers Conference is my home, they’re my family, and I always learn so much while I’m with them. This year I got to teach time management and storyboarding, and I got to sit on a panel alongside some other amazing faculty.
I made some new friends, like Jennifer Rose and Veronica Calisto, and caught up with some old ones, like Carol Berg, Chris Mandeville and Todd Fahnestock. Anne Bishop, author of one of my favorite fantasy series of all time, told me she picked up my book, nearly giving me a heart attack in the process. I pretended it was normal to have New York Times Bestselling Authors reading my work.
And now that I’m back home and caught up on sleep, it’s time to get back to that work. The next book comes back from the copy editor at the end of the week and the next short, Aria at the Opera, goes live June 1, so there is plenty to do and plenty to implement.
If you were in either of my workshops and wanted a second look at the slides you can find those here:
